The DEB2021 School will take place online, for 6 days, from 17 May to 22 May 2021. Prior to the start of the School, students will be asked to review some course material. Because of the participation of students from different time zones, course material (videos, exercises, etc.) will be uploaded ahead of time for attendees to review. Each day will consist of 3-hour video conferences (15:00-18:00 London time, GMT+1) with the teachers of the course to go over particular points, answer questions, and assist students in their AmP parameter estimations.

All course documents and information will be available on a dedicated platform.

Computer/Software Information

• Laptop with Matlab 2006 or higher
• GitHub account (free)
• Latest version of DEBtool and  AmPtool (click on the green bouton to download)
• A well prepared mydata file for your pet
• Netlogo
• NichMapperR
• Latest version of Zoom

If you don't have a Matlab license, there are two viable options:

• Download the free 30-day trial version from mathworks.com. Organize it so that these 30 days include the school period.
• Buy the Student version of Matlab if you are a student at a university. The student version apparently has all the capabilities of Matlab and is cheap (35 Euro excl. VAT for the basic program).
