Symposium > Practical information

The DEB2021 Symposium will be held online via Zoom for five days from 24 May to 28 May 2021. In order to reach as many participants around the world as possible, a day of the conference will last 3 hours, from 15:00 and 18:00 (London time, GMT+1). This is not a perfect time, especially for our friends and colleagues in Asia and Oceania, but this time window allows for the widest geographical coverage for participants from Europe, Africa, to North and South America.

Each day of the conference will consist of an introductory keynote for a thematic session or a 1-hour poster session, followed by six oral presentations. Attendees will be able to navigate between the general session room and virtual break rooms to discuss in small groups. A Slack discussion board will be created to answer logistic questions, keep session-specific discussions going, or just chat in private groups.

Oral presenters will be asked to record their presentation ahead of their time and send it to the deb2021@dal.ca one week ahead of the Symposium in anticipation of any technical difficulties during the session. Poster presenters will also be asked to send their PDF to deb2021@dal.ca.
