Manuscripts of the 7th international DEB Symposium will be published in a virtual special issue of Conservation Physiology (Oxford Academic). This open access journal, with Steven Cooke as Editor-in-Chief, features strictly refereed original research, reviews, and perspective articles.
Guest editors: Dr. Romain Lavaud, Dr. Starrlight Augustine, and Dr. Ramón Filgueira.
As an Open Access journal, Conservation Physiology relies on the receipt of Author Processing Charges to ensure its financial viability. However, Journal managers may be able to offer some assistance to authors who have difficulty in accessing the funds to cover these charges. Please talk to the organisers BEFORE submitting your paper if this applies to you. Papers with a corresponding author from a country included in OUP's Developing Countries Initiative are eligible for automatic fee waivers or reductions (see link for details).
Note that the reviewing process started for each manuscript as soon as it was submitted to the journal. If accepted, papers will be published on the journal's website (link) as soon as proof corrections have been incorporated and will be linked together via a dedicated web page. We envisage that all manuscripts will have been fully reviewed and final decisions made by the end of August and that publication of the Special Issue will be complete by 1st December 2022.
There were seven previous Special Issues on DEB theory:
